Fast food worker Sabine accused of filming customer’s credit/debit card information | New

MANY, Louisiana – A fried chicken restaurant worker who allegedly videotaped customers’ credit and debit cards while shopping faces multiple charges after her arrest today, Sabine Parish Sheriff Aaron said. Mitchell.

Desha Laneece Waller, 25, of Many, was today charged with 42 counts of impersonation. This is in addition to his arrest last week on charges relating to separate cases of theft under $1,000, obstruction of justice and animal cruelty. She also has two felony theft warrants pending in Caddo Parish.

Sheriff’s detectives discovered the videos while searching Waller’s cell phone for evidence in the misdemeanor robbery case. Det. Shelly Sepulvado found over 40 videos of the front and back of credit and debit cards. Waller shot the videos while working at Southern Classic in Many.

Waller would leave his cell phone on the counter in video recording mode, then hold the various cards in front of him when transacting with customers. The videos show Waller’s face in the background.

One of the victim’s credit cards was used to make purchases. It’s unclear if others were consulted, the sheriff said.

Waller’s employment with Southern Classic ended on July 3. But she was most recently employed at Burger King in Many, so detectives check Waller’s cellphone data and say additional charges may be pending.

Waller is being held at Sabine Parish Women’s Prison. No bond has been set.

Mitchell said anyone who believes their credit/debit or bank card information has been compromised or stolen should contact the bank or institution and Sepulvado at 318-590-9475.
