Hershey Bears announce ticket information and promotional nights for upcoming season

HERSHEY, Pa. — The Hershey Bears have announced ticket information and major promotional nights for their upcoming 2022-23 season.

Fans are encouraged to shop online to save money. According to Bears officials, customers can take advantage of the lowest prices and get bigger deals when buying tickets online.

An exclusive pre-sale for season ticket holders to purchase tickets to all Hershey Bears home games will take place on Tuesday, August 30 and Wednesday, August 31.

The latest Bears promotional calendar can be found here. It is important to note that all promotional nights are subject to change and additional nights may be added at later dates.

Some fan-favorite promotional highlights are listed below:


The world-famous GIANT Teddy Bear Toss returns Sunday, January 29 as the Bears host the Bridgeport Islanders at 3 p.m. When Hershey scored his first goal of the game, fans littered the ice with thousands of teddy bears and stuffed animals which were donated to local charities as part of the club’s Hershey Bears Cares program. Hershey holds the world record for the Teddy Bear Toss, raising 52,341 stuffed animals for area children last season. This special event has become a phenomenon across the globe, and it’s truly a game that all fans need to circle on their calendars.


The Bears will again host three Hersheypark Pass nights this season, with each of those games taking place on a Sunday. All fans attending the Hershey game on November 13, January 8 or February 26 will receive a one-day ticket to Hersheypark valid until June 30, 2023.


The 2022-23 campaign is Hershey’s 85th anniversary season, and the organization will host two special nights to celebrate some of the club’s greatest players. On Saturday, Jan. 14, the Bears will host Chris Bourque Jersey Retirement Night as No. 17 is elevated to the rafters. The club will also wear a special shirt that night which will be auctioned off after the match. Additionally, Hall of Fame Night is scheduled for Saturday, March 18, as the Bears induct the newest classes into the Hershey Bears Hockey Club Hall of Fame.


Hershey opens the 2022-23 season with PNC Bank Magnet Schedule Night for the first 8,000 fans on Saturday, October 15 against Utica. Other giveaway highlights include UGI Bobblehead Night for the first 4,000 fans on Friday, March 3. The player featured on the bobblehead is a secret at this time, but details will be released at a later date. Saturday, March 4 is Penn State Health T-Shirt Night for all fans, while Tuesday, April 11 is Fairview Golf Course Bears Logo Chip Night for the first 4,000 fans. Other giveaway nights should soon be added to the promotional calendar.


The Bears are proud to host Hometown Heroes Night on Saturday, November 12 (Military) and Friday, January 13 (First Responders, presented by ServPro). Hershey will also host its Hockey Fights Cancer night on Sunday, November 20. This impactful evening will feature a specialty jersey that will be auctioned off after the game to help those in need.


The Bears are thrilled to once again welcome the return of several fan-favorite events that allow members of the Bear Nation to meet their favorite players. To kick off the season on opening night on Saturday, October 15, the club will host a home opener event on the red carpet outside GIANT Center. Additionally, Team Autograph Night returns on Sunday, December 4, with a team photo giveaway, presented by David A. Smith Printing for the first 5,000 fans. The final game of the regular season, Saturday, April 15, is the club’s hugely popular Jerseys Off Our Back night, when fans will have the chance to win a jersey directly from the back of their favorite Bears player.
