Bronico scores his first goal as Charlotte FC beat NYCFC 3-1

HARRISON, NJ (CHARLOTTE SPORTS LIVE) – Charlotte FC doubled 3-1 against New York City FC at Red Bull Arena on Wednesday night.

The Crown is coming off a devastating 5-0 loss to LAFC on Saturday night.

Every game proves critical from this point on as the race for the MLS Cup playoffs begins to heat up.

Charlotte clinched gold early, within the first four minutes of the match.

Karol Świderski barely crossed the goal line with the ball, but it was nevertheless the first goal of the match after the video review.

New York responded; however, in the 28th minute, Maxime Chanot delivered a fine ball well beyond the 18′ – an absolute ripper to the upper right 90.

Khalina had no chance.

The draw brought to half-time.

FC broke that draw in the 77th minute when Brandy Bronico scored his first goal in a Charlotte uniform.

She was a beauty.

Khalina was the real hero. Recoding save after save; he gave Charlotte a fighting chance.

In the 89th minute, FC were awarded a penalty to cancel the game… indeed. Captain Christian Fuchs answered the call, giving Charlotte a 3-1 advantage at the final whistle.
