Cybersecurity and Computer Information Systems employment with Mount Olive University

The Tillman School of Business is seeking applicants for a full-time (9.5 month) faculty position in Cyber ​​Security and Computer Information Systems beginning in Fall 2022 (start date August 1, 2022). The candidate sought must have qualifications to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in cybersecurity, management information systems and computer information systems. Candidates should also have work experience in the cybersecurity profession. Experience working with information systems, electrical engineering and/or software engineering is an advantage. In addition to highly effective teaching and guidance, faculty members should engage with students through the cybersecurity club or other student-related activities/organizations.

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and graduate courses delivered in a seated and online format. Professors must record video lectures for online classes. Candidates must demonstrate success as an instructor in applying innovative and practical teaching techniques. Candidates should also have experience and/or certificates allowing the application of principles and theories related to the field of study. Applicants will be encouraged to network with local businesses and organizations to create internship opportunities for students.

The successful candidate will contribute to the mission of the Tillman School of Business and Mount Olive Covenant University. The candidate will participate in the activities of the Tillman School of Business, including collegiate club activities, university service, and community involvement.

Minimum qualifications:

Applicants should have a master’s degree in cybersecurity, computer science, information systems, or a related field. The candidate must possess 18 hours of higher education in computer science, management information systems, computer information systems or information systems.

Preferred qualifications

A Ph.D. or equivalent in the teaching discipline to include computer science, computer information systems, information systems, or management information systems.
