Summary of Qualifications
To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this advertisement, 05/24/2022. Time-in-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are currently federal employees and have held a GS grade at any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet the time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this advertisement. For a GS-07 position, you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-05; For a GS-09 position, you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-07. The rank may have been in any profession, but must have been held in federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-spent eligibility must be submitted with your application. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date in the past year, it may not clearly show you have one year of seniority, as the ad requires. In this case, you must provide an additional SF-50 that clearly demonstrates one year of class attendance.
Note: Time-in-rank requirements also apply to former federal employees seeking reinstatement as well as current employees seeking appointment under the Veterans Employment Opportunity Act of 1998 (VEOA) . Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to: managing a variety of consumable items and durable medical equipment; take inventory; supply; software experience with inventory recording systems; identify customer product needs and be able to supply appropriate products. To qualify on the basis of education for this grade level, you must have 1 full year of higher education OR higher academic achievement. OR, Combination: Candidates can also combine education and experience to qualify for this level. You must have a combination of specialist experience and education beyond the bachelor’s degree level. GS-09: Specialist Experience: You must have one year of specialist experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-07 in the normal line of career progression in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to: managing a variety of consumable items and durable medical equipment; develop and support the creation of acquisition strategies to acquire and purchase durable medical equipment; implement federal and agency programs for the return and reuse of medical supplies; use best practices, principles and tools, concepts and methodologies to determine and evaluate the performance of the supply system; and serve as a point of contact for the coordination of material support and the resolution of logistical problems. OR, Education: Applicants may substitute education for the required experience. To qualify based on education for this grade level, you must have a master’s or equivalent graduate degree OR 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate school leading to such a degree OR LL.B. or JD, if related. OR, Combination: Candidates can also combine education and experience to qualify for this level. You must have a combination of specialist experience and education beyond a master’s degree. Physical Requirements: Work is normally performed in an office; however, due to the nature of the position and duties, may be required to assist in the receipt, storage and distribution of various supplies, primarily consisting of lifting light boxes typically under 40 pounds, operating lifting devices appropriate handling and placing items on shelves or transporting them elsewhere on the station or in the catchment area. Must maintain applicable training and licenses to operate assigned equipment. The work is primarily performed in a normal office environment involving everyday hazards or inconveniences that require normal safety precautions. Obligation to use safe work practices with office equipment, to avoid trips or falls, and to obey fire regulations and traffic signs.
