Iran records peak oil and petchem shipments since 2017

(MENAFN) Iran’s Petroleum Minister Javad Oji said the country hit the record for oil, gas condensate and petrochemical shipments in 5 years (2017) (when the United States started to strengthen sanctions against Iran’s oil industry) in the eighth month of Iran’s Aban calendar (October 23-November 21), as reported by Shana.

The minister made the announcement at a meeting of oil industry workers on Tuesday.

“The Iranian oil industry is now at the forefront of the economic war and the toughest sanctions have been imposed on this industry,” he said, mentioning that the sector has grown despite the charges declared.

Iran has increased its oil production and shipments over the past year as the country imposed additional plans to deal with US restrictions.

The Islamic Republic’s oil revenue has increased eightfold in the first five months of the current Iranian calendar year (March 21-August 22) compared to the same period of the previous year, statistics show. official.

According to Tasnim news agency reports, Iran’s oil revenue also jumped 11 times in the previous year.
