Job: Inventory Agent at Gennex Technologies

Summary of work

The Inventory Officer is responsible for managing inventory management responsibilities including the efficient and organized keeping of inventory, ensuring that optimal levels of inventory are maintained at all times to quality standards, as well as proper distribution and proper tracking of inventory records.

main responsibilities

  • The Inventory Officer is responsible for receiving, storing, issuing goods, managing stock levels and distributing supplies from stock.
  • Ensure that the disposition of goods has been carried out in an orderly system in the various warehouses so that stocks can be stored easily and retrieved when needed.
  • He supervises and manages the procedures related to unloading, packing and unpacking. Ensures inventory remains physically protected in warehouses.
  • He also participates in the preparation of inventories, the maintenance of stock registers, the use of computerized systems for entering registers and is responsible for verifying supply invoices with purchase orders.
  • He/she is responsible for the preparation of weekly reports of all activities in the warehouses.
  • He/she reports excess or obsolete inventory from time to time.
  • Maintain a record of receipts as well as the issuance of items leaving the warehouse to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Participate in the reconciliation of physical stock with stock in the system
  • Undertake the inventory function and carry out regular inventories and periodic audits working closely with designated staff members
  • Ensure the correct and timely valuation of inventory and participate in the direction and management of procedures related to unloading, packing and unpacking

Who we are looking for:

  • You must be a graduate in business, accounting, logistics or related fields
  • A minimum of 3 years of inventory management experience is an added advantage
  • He/She must have good analytical and organizational skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate a collaborative working style, strong leadership skills and should have the ability to make appropriate decisions and act independently whenever necessary
  • He/she should have the ability to handle administrative work with good planning and numeracy skills.
  • He/she must have a methodical approach to complete assigned work and must pay close attention to detail.
  • Results oriented and able to work in a dynamic environment with increasing levels of responsibility
  • Strong professionally – credible, flexible, honest and trustworthy
  • Excellent oral, written and presentation skills.
  • Proficient use of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and willingness to use CRM modules.
