Despite a 20-point loss to the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday, there was clear improvement.
Bears quarterback Justin Fields recorded his best quarterback rating (QBR) of the season with a value of 120. His previous record was against the Minnesota Vikings when he recorded a QBR of 118.7.
On Sunday, the sophomore quarterback helped lead the Bears offense to 29 points against a tough Cowboys defense that fielded one of the best pass defenses in the league.
He completed 17 of 23 passes for 151 yards and two touchdowns while rushing eight times for 60 yards and another touchdown.

Fields showed off the arsenal of his game by scrambling, throwing darts downfield and blasting his way through defenses with the ball in his arm.
He led the charge with 16 unanswered points between the first and second half to help end an early 21-point Cowboys lead. Unfortunately, a fumbled recovery touchdown and nonchalant defense opened the door for Dallas to put the game away.
Nonetheless, Fields showed tremendous improvement with his arm and recorded another successful game on the floor with his feet.
The improvement is there and it shows in the numbers.
