- Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Buffalo Bills are +250 co-favorites to post best regular season record in 2022 NFL regular season
- In stark contrast, it’s the Houston Texans who are chalk +250 to post the league’s worst record this season.
- All odds, picks, predictions and best bets for the best and worst NFL regular season records are rated in the following story
The beauty of the NFL offseason, as opposed to the regular season, is that hope is eternal. Every coaching change seems to be brilliant. All the moves made since the end of the season seem like magic. NFL betting suggests that every team has a chance.
Actually, no, they don’t. If you mention the Houston Texans and the Super Bowl in the same sentence without inserting the words “don’t have a chance to play in the” in between, then seek immediate help.
That being said, some teams will come back from the depths of last season. Others will start a slide in the opposite direction. For a few teams, these moves in NFL win totals will be dramatic.
Which teams will be the best of the best in the 2022 NFL regular season? Which clubs will be last in the hunt for the No. 1 pick in the 2023 NFL Draft?
Let’s take a look at this while evaluating the best NFL futures bets for these props.

What’s not to love about the Buffalo Bills? They’ve been close to making it to the Super Bowl each of the past two seasons. Last year, the Bills went 11-6, a win over the AFC’s best record. With a favorite odds of +250, Buffalo offers an implied probability of winning of 28.57%.
Buffalo quarterback Josh Allen is getting better with each season. He still has Stefon Diggs to go to the other end of his passes. In NFL betting strategies, it’s hard to imagine any of the New England Patriots, Miami Dolphins or New York Jets giving Buffalo a run for the AFC East crown. .

Green Bay was one of the best in the NFL with a 13-4 record last season, but the Packers believe they will at least regress a little. Davante Adams is gone and Aaron Rodgers is a year older. Likewise, is it wise to invest in 44-year-old Tom Brady of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to keep drinking from the fountain of youth?
If there’s a sleeper playing for the NFL’s regular-season win leader, it might just be the Dallas Cowboys. Other than Philadelphia, the NFC East looks bad. Dallas was 12-5 last year and the Cowboys are a solid club on both sides of the ball.
Pick: Dallas Cowboys (+1,000)

Who’s the baddest of them all?
New York has cornered the bad football market for the past five NFL regular seasons. The Giants and Jets share the NFL’s worst 22-59 mark over that span.
They’ll be among the usual suspects battling not to be the NFL’s worst team in 2022. Sure, the Texans and Jacksonville Jaguars can be made the case for as well. And it wouldn’t be at all surprising to see the Atlanta Falcons go into a tailspin.
Chicago Bears UNDER 6.5 win is the most lopsided total bet on season wins @CaesarsSports so far this offseason.

There’s a contender for that disgrace who hasn’t resided in the NFL’s low-rent neighborhood in some time. the Pittsburgh Steelers were the league’s worst team in 1969. Steelers coach Mike Tomlin never suffered a losing season. However, with quarterback uncertainty and the NFL’s No. 29 running game last season, it’s going to be a tough year for Steel City.
It’s another venerable NFL franchise getting the nod here, though. The Chicago Bears are putting their QB eggs in the basket for second Justin Fields, who had the worst QBR among league starters as a rookie. He will work with a new group of receivers and a new coach (Matt Eberflus). Sounds like a recipe for disaster.
Pick: Chicago Bears (+1,200)
